Unlike its French counterpart, which was held earlier this year, the Italian Film Festival veered away from the heavy drama genre. It shows the Filipinos this year that, yes, Italians are also known for their hilarious and sometimes over-the-top comic flair and that, yes, horror and gore are genres they are also comfortable with.
